Data Mining Facility Aluminum Filtered Vent Hood

A local Data Mining facility contacted us about designing and building custom filtered vent hoods for their containers that house their server/computers. We fabricated the hoods out of aluminum to keep weight down and also prevent them from rusting/corroding away. For assembling the hoods we relied on rivets, fighting our instinctive reaction to weld everything. This accelerated the fabrication process immensely. The turnaround time between initial evaluation of the project, and the first 4 hoods being completed, was 3.5 weeks.

Preferred Popcorn Fire Piping Reinforcement

Preferred Popcorn’s base of operation located in Chapman, NE was in need of renovations after being purchased by Performance Food Group (PFG). PFG, a self-insured company, requires their facilities to have fire piping throughout their buildings. This fire piping, due to its weight, needs to be supported in the large spans between the mainframes of the building. The scope of our work for the project was to cut W-beams to length; then install them on top of the mainframes. Before the project began, we presented a beam clamping procedure that was approved by the ESI Structural Engineer. This alleviated any drilling or welding on the mainframes 50 feet in the air above the operational facility equipment. With our revised install method and custom fabricated conveyor roller brackets the installation process became very manageable.
